Tarrytown, NY Development - Adaptive re-use of an urban institutional building
The Village of Tarrytown brings together the charm of a historic river town with the vibrancy of a gentrifying community with a number of new developments one of which is our design. After Covid, the empty retail spaces are rapidly being converted to residential units. Condos for sale or rent are the remedy to this post-pandemic economy and architecture firms like us with adaptive reuse skills are in high demand.
Coming soon there will be an influx of hundreds of new, condos, and loft apartments to this growing community which will bring in more restaurants, retail and community service.
The historic property we are converting is a Spanish Renaissance style brick building that served as the home of several banks including Citibank's Tarrytown branch. Studio Vural is developing creative solutions in layout and volume to convert this iconic property into a thriving condo complex. We will update our page as the project progresses.
