Partners Coffee Bedford - an artisan espresso bar in Williamsburg

Our long-time client, Partners Coffee is a prominent roaster with numerous cafes around NYC. Just 4 blocks from its original location on N6th street, we were tasked by designing another cafe with a signature look, which we call European Brooklyn. It is European due to its timeless mosaic tiles with geometric borders, simple and classical wood details with brass inserts, a quaint storefront with bench-seating, fluted glass partitions at counters to name a few among many. It is Brooklyn because historically it used to be a strip club on Bedford Avenue owned by a Polish lady, architecturally it features a central countertop that juts out into the space like an espresso rocket ship. Bordered with a 3" diameter bullnose edge, the espresso bar is its own mechanical marvel. With hazy, extruded glass pendants gliding over hipster baristas pulling shots on a signature deep blue modbar, Partners Coffee is as Brooklyn as it gets.
