Sinatra's Iconic Manhattan Townhouse
Ataker Townhouse

Ataker Townhouse: We are thrilled to announce that our project is complete and has been brought back to Sinatra-worthy sophistication. We not only navigated stringent Landmarks Department demands, but completed a complex gut-renovation with expert architectural execution. Located on East 61st Street in Manhattan, this landmarked property was divided into many outdated rooms with no apparent function.
Our design vision was to remove dysfunctional walls without costly structural intervention, yet maintain the functional integrity our clients and their four children required. We were also challenged to balance the historic and modern elements, and had to develop an architectural language that respected both without conflict. Sinatra's range hood was surely the historic highlight of the project in a modern kitchen that showcased our design finesse. (plans and design phase renderings below)

On the fourth floor, we embraced modern lines, as it lacked historic details to begin with. The addition of a sky-lit bulkhead opened up the space, allowing us to create a striking high atrium with contemporary lines. We also designed a flexible guest room that can be seamlessly opened onto the atrium with large sliding doors, making it the focal point of the floor. A lush Ipe deck is currently being planned for the roof. In short, Ataker Townhouse is another project in our portfolio that cements our exceptional skill in talent in historic townhouse renovations. Thank you design team, builders, vendors and of course our fashion designer clients.
