Mennyezet, the super bloom a biophilic outdoor stage for the arts

Mennyezet is a multi-disciplinary project formulated by Studio Vural with a diverse team of environmentally conscious professionals & artists. With our project, we aim to foster abundant vegetation, ecological balance, and biodiversity within the built environment.

Mennyezet (“canopy” in Hungarian) is a modular canopy structure that can be installed on any surface in a variety of combinations. The recycled plastic frame & paneling are covered in seasonal vegetation that can be choreographed for specific events. It has a modular stage below for performances that can be illuminated by solar lights for nighttime use. The form is simple yet playfully versatile.

The future of our cities is biophilic. The massive benefits of greenery in our built environment will not only reduce carbon at its source but will bring biodiversity, wellness, and oxygen back into our urban fabric. Mennyezet is the perfect messenger for that prospect.

Mennyezet speaks through its colors, patterns, and textures that morph through natural cycles. It is an artful testament to a multi-cultural, post-humanist world, where humans don't dominate but integrate. It is an outcry against mindless conservatism that hinders environmental progress despite scientific evidence. Join us in our message.....
