This is our historic townhouse renovation at the heart of Park Slope.

The design challenge was to convert the house into a single family residence with open spaces, re-configuring the whole divided layout, infusing contemporary details into a historic setting without losing the elegance of its 19th century spirit.
The garden floor was opened up with an expansive playroom with toy closets, where an en-suite guest bedroom was furbished. The parlor floor was upgraded with a new powder room and a state of the art kitchen with a marble island. A decomposing wood deck was replaced with a metal deck extending down to the garden level via a staircase.
Finally the top floor was transformed into bedroom quarters with high ceilings where natural light floods through elegant skylights.
